The cognates

Cognates are words that share similar meaning, spelling and pronunciation in two languages 

Cognado true: are words that have similarities in the way they are written and have they are written and have the same meaning.

Example:

relation(inglés)

                                                    relación(español)                                                         

False cognates are very similar in our language but have a different meaning and sometimes with the opposite sense.  
                                                            Example:

embarrassed (inglés)
embarazada (español)

embarrassed = avergonzado
embarazada = pregnant
